Electric Lightwave Inc (Eli.NET) will experience a planned Internet outage to perform network-wide maintenance on our Internet Backbone, within which ELI will be performing critical network enhancements. This planned outage will occur from 12:01 am through 6:00 am December 15th Pacific Standard Time.
The actual network "down time" is not expected to exceed 1.5 - 2 hours. The additional time is being allocated as a maintenance window in the event that any unforeseen situations occur.
ELI is planning to perform a Hardware and Software Upgrade to the BackBone Network. The end result will be a more robust, better tuned transport medium as well as improved bandwidth allocation and performance to our customers.
It is ELI's intent to minimize our maintenance outages both in duration and number of incidents per year while continuing to provide the best networking services in the region.
